What do we do at Leading Edge Education?

Leading Edge Education is an educational organisation with a relaxed, informal but hard-working environment, with headquarters located in the CBD. We are the leading provider of textbooks and tuition programs for HSC Economics and HSC Business Studies students in New South Wales.

• We offer weekly afternoon tuition programs, holiday workshops and conferences for HSC and Year 11 students in the Sydney CBD.
• We research and write for a range of HSC textbooks, workbooks and educational resources.

Our organisation is continuing to expand and we are looking for additional team members to assist with the preparation and delivery of our Economics programs and publications. We provide opportunities for our staff to develop skills that complement their current university studies. For example, small-group teaching, researching current business issues and writing educational materials. Applicants should be of exceptional academic record and have strong presentation skills.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

TUTORING HSC ECONOMICS STUDENTS

Leading Edge Education is the publisher of the market leading HSC Economics textbook and provider of small group tuition programs to HSC Economics students in our City based program.

We are seeking:

Second or third year university students to work within our tuition programs, specifically those who are continuing studies in Economics or related disciplines and who can commit to six or more hours per week with Leading Edge.

Ideally, successful applicants will be able to demonstrate strong conference presentation skills, a passion for the subject and a positive approach to working with HSC students. Previous tutoring, public speaking/debating experience would be well regarded, though is not absolutely necessary. In addition to your tutoring role, you may be offered research tasks, opportunities to publish your work within our various text, workbook or newsletter publications.

Leading Edge offers a unique opportunity to earn an income whilst strengthening your research, writing and presentation skills, in a positive, friendly environment. Employment is on a casual employee basis, with rates of pay dependent upon your experience and the tasks undertaken.
