Preliminary ECONOMICS holiday Workshops

Year 11 Economics Workshop

The Year 11 Economics Workshop is held at the end of Term 2 for students studying the preliminary economics course. It is designed to give students an overview of the upcoming topics of Financial Markets and Government Policy in the preliminary course, as well as reviewing essential theory and its application, and the topic of Labour Markets. This workshop focuses on putting economic issues in the context of the Australian economy, and giving students the most up-to-date information about the state of the economy in preparation for their preliminary exams. This workshop:

• Previews essential content for the preliminary exams
• Links your economics knowledge of economic theory to current issues in the Australian economy
• Gives you an overview of economic management issues
• Introduces Leading Edge's exam strategies for success in your preliminary exams

Introductory HSC Economics Workshop

The Introductory Workshop is held at the end of Term 3 for Year 11 students begining Year 12. It is designed to help students enter the HSC course with the Leading Edge. This workshop:

• Introduces you to the format of the HSC
• Links your economics knowledge from the Preliminary course to the HSC course
• Gives you an overview of Topic 1 of the HSC Course - The Global Economy
• Explains the differences in the skills you need to succeed in the HSC course
